Building in New York City is a privilege — and we believe that privilege carries a civic responsibility:
to the families who need stable, affordable homes, to the children who deserve a strong start, and to the neighborhoods that give our work its meaning.
Affordable housing isn’t a checkbox for Haussmann — it’s a core part of how we think about development.
Across our portfolio, we have delivered hundreds of income-restricted units in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan through programs including 421-a, 485-x/UAP, and HPD’s affordable housing financing programs. We work closely with the city agencies, community boards, and nonprofit partners who share our belief that mixed-income housing — done well — strengthens neighborhoods rather than displacing them.

Access to quality early childhood education is one of the most powerful levers for long-term opportunity — and one of the most persistent gaps facing working families in New York City. Little Legacy was founded on a simple conviction: every child, regardless of zip code or family income, deserves a nurturing, enriching start.

Little Legacy operates early childhood learning centers designed to provide exceptional care and education from infancy through pre-K. Our programs emphasize child-led discovery, social-emotional development, and school readiness — meeting children where they are and preparing them for where they can go.
For the families we serve — many of them in the same neighborhoods where Haussmann builds — Little Legacy represents something real: the peace of mind of knowing their child is safe, learning, and loved. That is not a small thing.

In Jamaica, Queens, we are developing 260 all-affordable homes alongside a new 14,000-square-foot worship facility for the local congregation — with a ground lease that sustains the church’s operations and a nonprofit partnership bringing social services to residents.
We see this work not as separate from our real estate business, but as an extension of the same mission.
